Hope Healing and Freedom: Jesus Died to Give Us This Kind of Life

One of the promises of the Easter season is that Jesus died in order that we might have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10).  Literally what Jesus promises is the “super abundant life.”  The abundant life is characterized by hope for today and tomorrow, increasing joy and living with a sense of purpose and expectation.  If our experience of life is anything less than this abundance, we can know that Jesus desires more and better for us.  Ultimately, He wants us to live out our true-identity as God’s son or daughter and to live with a sense of purpose, knowing what it is the Father created us to do.  Discovering, and embracing these truths puts us firmly on the path of the abundant life.

Another key to realizing the abundant life is to recognize that our past experiences with the Lord are not the end but the beginning.  Wherever we are in our journey there is always more, more healing, more freedom, more discovering what God is really like and who He wants to be for us.    These early experiences with the Lord are but an introduction to a lifestyle where we allow God to continually heal our hearts, reveal the lies we have believed, especially about ourselves, begin to deal with family baggage and then exercise our authority in resisting the devil (James 4:7).  In general, healing and freedom, along with our experience of the abundant life, come “little by little” (Exodus 23:29-31) as we practice new ways of thinking and living.

If you are still living with painful memories, destructive habits, broken relationships or are still searching for meaning and purpose in life there is a way forward.  I would invite you to explore the integrated approach to healing and freedom that was developed by Chester and Betsy Kylstra of Restoring the Foundations, Inc.  RTF is individualized prayer ministry, with a trained ministry team, addressing life’s issue with all of their unique circumstances.  Each 3 hour ministry session is tailored to address the four ministry areas of family baggage, ungodly beliefs, life’s hurts and demonic influences and allows for a more comprehensive experience of Jesus’ healing power.  Many in our area, along with thousands throughout the world, have been healed of deep and painful memories and/or destructive habits enabling them to experience new levels of joy in their walk with Jesus.

On Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 8:30am-1 pm, Thanksgiving Church will be hosting a RTF Hope, Healing and Freedom seminar.  The purpose of the seminar is to explain the RTF integrated approach to healing and freedom, the Biblical foundation for each ministry area and finally to give seminar participants an opportunity to experience some healing through a group ministry experience.  While there is no charge for the seminar, a $10 seminar workbook is required to complete the seminar.  The workbook contains teaching outlines, sample prayers and the necessary instructions for the group ministry times.  To register please visit the home page on our website, godslsivingstones.org and click on the Hope Healing and Freedom link.  Or contact us at office@godslivingstones.org with any questions.
